Church ball.....Young Men...INTENSE!

Brad is in the middle right under the basket. (white shirt)
That is his shot going in.

So Brad couldn't sleep the night before the game because he was sooooo excited to play basketball. He kept waking up every hour (just like Christmas). They played Maplewood ward's teachers team. Brad was sure they would just walk away with a win. Some of the guys were telling him that the teachers could really play. Well for the first half we stayed ahead by several points. Then by half we were only up by 1.
Will it go in?.........YES! 2 points by B-rad!!
The second half we got behind by 11 but rallied in the last few minutes to get ahead by 1 again. but with about 13 seconds to go we fouled and it happened to be their 6th foul so they got to shoot. Luckily they didn't make it. We got the ball back but lost it due to a bad pass they shot but didn't score and we got the ball again and squeeked out the win! WHEW! We only had one guy to rotate in too so our guys were extreemly tired!!
I thought it was neat that Bishop had to stop by after a meeting and watch his boys play. He helped coach them too. These guys are so lucky to have such a great man care about and love them so much!

Michael was DYING after that game. He hasn't played basketball in, what, like two years?? And he played on Saturday just because Brad called and told him to get his behind to the church! Luckily, he didn't have to work. After the game, he went swimming and hot tubbing to 'stretch and soothe' his muscles. Too funny.

What a great mom you are to go to your son's game and actually take pictures! My mom never came to a single game, all through teachers and priests ball. (Boo Hoo, pity party for me) I even hit the game-winning shot once. I came home injured enough to need to go to the hospital once, too. I sure showed her for not coming! Ha!
