Perm...peeeewww!

Michelle has been wanting a perm for a while now so Saturday we did it! It took a long time to roll her hair up. Then the stinky solutions.......ewwwwww I made her sit outside so it didn't stink up the house.
I know....mean mom
And here is the finished product. It isn't as curly as we had hoped we needed a salon style strongness but oh well, it's good for a change. :)

Laid to rest.....

The infamous "yuckmobile" has retired it's Arizona plates. (as well as our other two vehicles) It was a sad day for Shannon. She even shed a few tears (FOR REAL!! I thought she was pretending) It had to be done....alas, no more nickname "yuckmobile"
Brad told Shan that his car better be still "around" when he comes back. She is treating it better than he ever did. It is so clean inside, you wouldn't recognize it! We hope it's around a good many more years!!

OUCH!

Can you guess who's head this is?
It's been a while since we had any injuries...

Let's just say.....trampoline + water barrel + Jenna = a cut on the head!

Now lest you think this was completely HER idea, let me add more to the equation. + Michelle + Rachel + bouncing really high + Jenna's legs too short to touch the mat......yes, you get the picture!! She bumped her head on the edge of the barrel.

We debated on whether she needed stitches or not it wasn't very deep so we opted for super glue. It has been almost a week and it really looks good. There will be some super glue in her hair for a while but, sure did save on doctor bills!!!

Our First Visitors from Arizona!!

Over Fall break the Papas came to visit us here is good old "Dinosaur Land" They arrived on Sunday night. They estimated they would be her about 8:00 p.m. but didn't arrive till closer to 9:00. boy was that a Looooonnnnngggg hour for Jenna.
Kara didn't tell the girls who they were coming to see, she just told them it was one of her friends. The girls didn't want to leave their cousins and come. I should have had my camera ready when Jenna opened the door and Jordan stood there looking shocked and dumbfounded. She couldn't figure out why Jenna was standing there at the door. Kinsey peaked out from behind and said "Jenna!!" Then it was all giggles and laughter! Needless to say it was a bit late before they all settled down and went to bed.
We let Jenna stay out of school and we all went to the dinosaur museum.
Don't ask me to name them all... sorry Spencer even took the day off and came with us.
Jordan loved this pose. Not sure if she was acting surprised and read to run or growling like the dinosaurs.

Yes, there were "DO NOT TOUCH" signs posted but do you think the girls followed the sign?

Here is the pose again!! Ha ha, she is so funny! It was hard to get Jenna and Kinsey to be still long enough to take a picture, and for get about Abby and Evelyn can you say CRAZY?

More Dino fun!!

They also took a dip in the hot tub. I forgot to tell Kara to bring their swim suits but after living in Arizona for so long, Jenna had plenty of extras to share. We did have to pin a couple up...
No visit would be complete without visiting the Vernal Temple. It is so unique that was made from an existing building (the tabernacle where we went to Stake Conference when we were growing up) but is it so beautiful inside. It feels like you stepped back into the pioneer days when you go inside.

Here is the cute Papa family!!

Kara, Thomas, Spencer and I went on a session the next day together. We had a great time having them come and visit. I guess Thomas and Spencer could commiserate living with all those girls!! Thanks for coming to visit us!!!! Come back REAL soon!!!! Anyone else is MORE than welcome to come visit!!!!

Sadie Hawkins dance 2010

So Shannon asked a boy in our ward "Chet" to the dance. Aunt Susan gave her this "cowboy" shirt as a joke for her birthday.. So since Chet is a cowboy, she thought she would play a joke on him. So this is how she dressed up! Even though it is a joke, she looked pretty cute!
Here she is with her two friends.... Sarah and Shelby....Here she is with Chet. He got a good laugh out of it.
And here she is "for real" ready to go out with her friends to the dance.
So glad Aunt Linda was around to help take pics and to help her break into her room after the day date since she locked herself out of the house and couldn't get in to get ready. (What color is her hair? oh ya!) They had a great time and she has decided, ""cowboys aren't so bad" ;)

Baby Reagan

Sunday we got to go to one of the first baby blessings in our family for hmmmm about 22 years. The girls were thrilled to be able to see one of their cousins before they turned 2!
It was fun to have a little lunch together before we headed home. Ahhh Family is great!

BYU Homecoming

One of the advantages of living in Utah is being so close to BYU. It makes Spencer's heart soooo happy! We took the opportunity to go to the Homecoming game and parade. We had two extra tickets since Shannon was going to the Sadie Hawkins dance so we invited Grandma and Grandpa. The parade was short and sweet. but full of spirit and fun! (Shannon viewed the pics and decided there were ALOT of cute guys at BYU.... hmmm where to go for college?) anyway. After the parade we had some time to kill so we went to the Bean museum. (no not beans....just the name) It was full of Animals from all around the world. There was a whole wall of animals that are from Africa. It will be interesting to see if Brad ever sees any of them. So after the museum, we made a trip to costco and ate there before we left for the game.
Our seats were in the AA (very top) section, row 34...(3 rows from the top) so it was quite a climb getting to them. Grandpa did great even with his two replaced knees!
The girls drew BYU on their faces with blue paint (can't figure out how to get the pics off my phone...) and THANKFULLY they won!!
We took Grandma and Grandpa back to their car and then headed up to Aunt Maria's house to sleep for the night, because our niece Reagan was getting blessed the next day!
We had a great time!! Brad was very jealous and expects to have season tickets when he gets back.. :) we'll see....
