The Prophet said to plant a garden....

So that's what we did!!In our old house, we had grow boxes all the way around our yard. A few months ago our bishop wanted us all to get on the ball and get a garden planted so he made it as simple as he could. He has a nursery and told us all to come down and plant the seeds and he would have his workers water and take care of them till ready to transplant, then he figured up how much dirt and materials it would take to have a 4 x 4 garden, then ordered the soil and stuff in bulk. Well, that's what we needed to get started and here it is. We planted alot of cucumbers, some squash and beans and are waiting for the melons to be big enough to transplant. We also planted our 3rd tree in the back yard. We are praying it doesn't die like all the rest. They have grown for about 2 to 3 years and then poof! they just up and die on us, just when they are starting to give good shade. Anyway, I feel better about having a garden. Spencer wasn't too keen on getting one planted but guess who is out there checking on it every day now? Yup!! Him!

Yay! I'm so glad you built your garden! Gardening is addicting, as Pres. Kimball said, "Being close to the soil is good for the soul."
